چکیده
AIM to assess prognostic significance of pathologic features T1 rectal carcinoma in relation regional lymph nodes involvement (N+). MATERIAL AND METHODS : surgical specimens (n = 66) from resection for pT1 were investigated. Following prognosticators evaluated: depth submucosal invasion, grade differentiation, lymphovascular invasion (LVI), tumor budding (Bd), poorly differentiated clusters (PDC) and rupture cancer glands (CGR). RESULTS metastases found 13 (19.7%) specimens. LVI was associated lymphatic spread great possibility OR 38.0 95% CI 2.1-670 (p < 0.0001). Tumor high (Bd3) 6.2 1.2-31 0.0001) 0,03) also increased risk node metastases. Depth failed demonstrate significant association with N+. Logistic regression analysis allowed determine as independent factor involvement. CONCLUSION are factors

PURPOSE The aim of the study is to identify the risk factors of synchronous ILN metastasis for lower rectal cancer involving the anal canal. METHODS Patients with lower rectal cancer who underwent radical resection at the Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center were retrospectively analyzed. The synchronous ILN metastasis was defined as the metastasis occurring within 6 months after the diagn...

Background: This study assessed the optimal timing of computed tomography for detection of metastatic disease in locoregional lymph nodes in patients with rectal cancer who have undergone chemoradiotherapy. Materials and Methods: This observational retrospective study was performed in a single institution. All patients with locally advanced rectal cancer treated with chemoradiotherapy, followed...

متن کاملLYMPH NODE REVEALING SOLUTION: A NEW USEFUL METHOD FOR ISOLATION OF MINUTE AXILLARY LYMPH NODES IN BREAST CANCER
Breast cancer is one of the most common malignancies in the world. The most important prognostic factor in this cancer is the stage of the tumor. Detection of lymph nodes with or without malignancy is essential for determining the stage of the tumor and setting a therapeutic plan. There are different methods for isolating lymph nodes in surgical specimens of breast cancer in the pathology ...
متن کاملLymph nodes metastasis of gastric cancer
Despite a decrease in incidence in recent decades, gastric cancer is still one of the most common causes of cancer death worldwide [1]. In areas without screening for gastric cancer, it is diagnosed late and has a high frequency of nodal involvement [1]. Even in early gastric cancer (EGC), the incidence of lymph node (LN) metastasis exceeds 10%; it was reported to be 14.1% overall and was 4.8 t...
